This week I am making Raspberry White Chocolate Scones with Ontario Strawberry Compote! Also available is my take on Devonshire Cream. It is similar to Clotted or Thick Cream, flavored with Vanilla and folded with a Chantilly cream. It is lush and just the right level of sweet and savory.

This Meal is Gluten Free but contains Butter and Cream in the sauce. (can be omitted, just leave a message in the note at checkout!)

Meet The Traveling Chef

Allan completed his Red Seal certification working under Chef Nick Benninger of Nick and Nats Uptown 21 + Fat Sparrow Group. Following certification, Allan began a journey to expand his horizons and took his skills on the road. He found himself first in Ireland at the prestigious Powerscourt Hotel and Spa, which was rated #1 hotel in Ireland in 2017 and then at Monachyle Mhor, a boutique hotel in Scotland. 

Allan’s love for fresh and local ingredients quickly developed in Scotland, with a large amount of the restaurant's ingredients being sourced from the hotel’s two farms, gardens and wild outdoor foraging on the hotel grounds.   

After 14 months of working and traveling through Europe – eating, exploring, and sharpening his skills – Allan returned home to Canada. Looking to share his talents with those interested in having more fun with food; the Traveling Chef was born. The Traveling Chef seeks to provide clients with the comfort of chef-inspired, home cooked food without all the fuss. The Traveling Chef not only strives to provide clients with tasty food but also an experience; throwing many dinner parties for clients and friends.  

With a new way to reach you at home, these experiences have now been transformed into wonderful take home meals to enjoy.
